Dr. David L Harnett earned his bachelor's degree in 1971, followed by his doctor of dental surgery degree in 1974 from The Ohio State University. He returned to his hometown of Kinsman and started his dental practice in Cortland, Ohio. Dr. Harnett is accomplished in all phases of modern dentistry, and after more than four decades of practicing dentistry, he still enjoys it as much as ever. One of the things he has enjoyed over the years is getting to know his patients and sharing life stories with them.

Dr Harnett married his high school sweetheart, Shayne. They have raised two sons and two daughters and now have the joy of 13 grandchildren. He enjoys woodworking, hunting, fishing, and boating. He still enjoys grain farming on the farm he grew up on. He loves spending time with his family and is proud to practice dentistry with his daughter, Dr. Ashley Smegal.
